Running Total of production by product ID

I would be obliged of some assistance could be provided to resolve the problem I'm having difficulty with. Daily records are maintained on batch production along with important batch code and shelf life detail.
I am looking to populate the total batch volumes produced by product on the separate worksheet, so that as batch data is inputted that new batch weight is added to the previous total, thereby keeping total volumes produced up to date.

I have attempted VLOOKUP formulas but to no avail, and any support would be greatly appreciated to identify the correct solution.

    Many thanks

    Phil

    Try this instead:

    =SUMIF('Batch Log'!B:B,'Volume by Recipe'!A4,'Batch Log'!D:D)

not really sure what you're desired result is but try this in C4 of the 'volume by recipe' sheet

    =SUMPRODUCT(IF(A4='Batch Log'!$B$4:$B$100,1,0),'Batch Log'!$D$4:$D$100)

its an array formula so use control + shift + enter to enter it and you'll get squiggly lines then drag the formula down column C
