Separate a list into several columns

    Hi Everyone,

Do you know how to make a list in one column appear separated in new columns? The cell contains locations, separated by returns. Is there a way to make new cells for each of these locations? I've posted a screenshot of what I hope to create. Is there a formula to do this? Thanks.

Highlight your column of data, making sure the columns to its right are empty.

On the Data ribbon, Select Text to Columns.

Select the Delimited option, and then check the Other option.

In the delimiter type box press CTRL+J and click on Finish.

Thanks very much. I can see how this should work but I have a mac. Any idea if there is a different shortcut to try?
