Track all employees, their billable rates, and keep a running total on each project

there is a formula that I believe exists but I have no idea how to make it happen. We use a sheet in our accounting office (attached) to track who has worked on a particular tax return and how much time they have spent. We also have chargeable services on the same sheet, so when the return is done the billable time is calculated and added to the service charges for a grand total.

I would like to have employee initials attached to their hourly billable rate, so when they enter their initials and the time (.25 equals 15 minutes and so on) the billable total is displayed at the end of the row. I then would like the billable section to subtotal at the bottom but then get added with the services running total to create the grand total.

Please let me know if this is possible, it would greatly reduce time spent and billing mistakes. If somebody thinks they can help I can also send the form that I want to use via email.

    Thank you,

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Ok. You will need to have a table with all the EEs Names in one column, their initials in another column and their Billable Rate in a third column. Then employing Vlookup function populate the billable amount.

For your sub totals use the Sum function to add up a column of numbers.
