Averaging the earliest start times and latest end times for multiple days

    Hello,

I am trying to find a way to average out the start time and end time for a week long period. The only problem is, there can be multiple start and end times in one day depending on how jobs were done that day. So I need to average the earliest start time for each day and the latest end time for each day for the whole time period, for multiple employees.
I was able to work out the days worked, the times are the last piece that I need.

    I have attached an example.

    Thank you in advance!

Since you not added the expected result. I take a guess.

See the attached file, with a pivot table, solution.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    The attachment will not open.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I tried using a pivot table before, but the pivot table columns may change which will mess up the end result.

Re: Averaging the earliest start times and latest end times for multiple days

I was able to get it open now. The end result I am looking for is to have the average start time and the average end time for the given time period. So for TECH 1 it shows they worked 5 days, but what is the average time they are starting their day and what is the average time they are ending their day?
I can't use a pivot table because there may be some weeks where there are only five working days, some six and some seven.

Actually the pivot table should work with the way it is created. I just applied an averageif formula and it's perfect. Thanks!
