Formula for the difference between positive & negative numbers

I have two list of numbers in column A + B both of which contain both positive and negative numbers and i need to find the difference between them. If i show the desire results it might be easier.

So A1 is 3 B1 -1 = 4
A2 is -3 B2 2 = -5
A3 is -3 B3 -2 = -1
A4 is 3 B4 5 =-2

Any help would be much appreciated.

To get the difference you should expect absolute value on result. No negative value should be there unless you have some special issues. But to get the difference I use this:
