Need Help on Conditional Formatting to highlight text

    Hello Everyone, Good day!

I wanted to know if it would be possible to apply a colour rule for a column which is extracting data from another sheet in the same workbook?

Example: Sheet 2, I have entered this formula in cell A2="Book1"A2

    Text copied is Pending
I would like to apply a rule to column A in sheet 2 if the text is Pending then it would highlight to Green.

I hope the above makes sense. Hoping someone could assist, Thank you.

    Regards,
    Harami

Create a conditional formatting rule and apply it to the whole of column A:

In sheet 2, select the cell A2 to A15 (up to where you want), go to conditional formatting, Select "Use a formula to determine which cell to format"
    Enter the formula, =$A2=""

Ali, may be I have taken the question in other way. What I understood is, when the data is to be extracted (pending), the cells should highlight in Green.

It's good that you have given the right answer to OP.
