Excel - INDEX MATCH BETWEEN DATES

    Hi,

Have an easy one here, i think... I reiterate the fact that index-match is a weak point for me...

I have columns of raw data that is listed in chronological order, but includes duplicate dates. I want the user to specify a time range (between two dates - inclusive). Then the data that falls between those dates is returned to another column.

I have attached an example with manually calculated values.

If any more info is required, please let me know.

    Thank you very much

Re: Excel - INDEX MATCH BETWEEN DATES

Enter array formula in P8 and copy across and down. Format values in Column Q as Dates

    ***Array formula
...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER.
You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula.
If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Re: Excel - INDEX MATCH BETWEEN DATES

    Hi,

AlKey, that worked great. Thank you very much.
I do have another request. What if I want an additional criteria?

Therefore. I would like to return data that falls between those dates, but ALSO ONLY if the temperature = "123456".

I have attached another example with manually calculated results.

    Thank you for your time.

Re: Excel - INDEX MATCH BETWEEN DATES

To get the results you want you would need to change date in Cell L7 to 12/17/2017 then use this formula
    Formula: copy to clipboard
