Drop Down Lists pulling from other sheets

I have a workbook with 10 sheets. One 9 of those sheets I have charts that update themselves from formulas on those sheets. I have taken a data range for each chart and defined a name for them individually (eg: Newcastle, Canterbury, Belfast, etc). On the 10th sheet I have made a drop-down list with all the names of the charts on them so that my client can choose from the list and the appropriate chart will appear on that sheet.

What I have achieved so far is choosing a cell (on sheet 10), copying it, pasting it to where I want to place the chart, Paste Special using Link to Picture. When I change the formula in the formula bar to say =Canterbury, then I get the Canterbury chart showing - so all is well so far. Now I just need the list to to become active so I can choose it from there rather than having to type this in the formula bar.

Hope that makes sense and hope I've put this on the correct thread

    Nick

Off-hand I suspect that the Past Special: Link to Picture is not an automatable step.

How different are the charts? If they're the same layout etc with different data by site, why not just put a helper table in Worksheet 10 that populates with data from the other tabs depending, and then build the chart off of that?

If that's no good then I'd really need to see an example spreadsheet to dig into this.

Thank you for the reply. The charts are all the same size - here is a link to the file on OneDrive if that is any help: (removed)

At the moment I only have 2 x charts in the name range - didn't want to do them all until I got it working. The two in the name range are Newcastle and Canterbury

Just to say I have figured it out. Using helper cell to reference each chart by name and insert it in proper place
