Excel count (fill handle) not working

Hi guys,

Something that is really frustrating me is that I can drag down using the fill handle for my numbers to appear in a continuous sequence (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I only get (1,1,1,1,1,1,1,).

Please see the spreadsheet attached - the Februrary tab.

Can anyone please advise?

Maybe the content is text even though it LOOKS like a number. Use ISNUMBER() in a blank cell to confirm this.

So what cell are you dragging from?

Have you tried...
- enter "1" in first cell
- enter "2" in second cell
- select both cells
- Drag down

A date is also a number
- drag a date - it increments
- drag a number - it does not increment

It was cell A1.

I have just fixed it - it seems having a filter on was causing the problem!!!!
