Formula to calculate student grade level based on DOB

I have DOB = C and Age = D. I would like a formula for column E to calculate what grade a student will be for the following school year automatically based on today's date. School year runs August - June, however, I would like the formula to show the grade for that following school year after current school year is over for planning purposes.

When August 1 hits .... Age 4 = preschool, Age 5 = Kindergarten, Age 6+ = grade level 1 through high school

Once June 1 hits, I would like the calculations to show the next grade level for that year.

Example: DOB: 10/23/12 - the child is 5 years old as of today's date and will stay 5 when school starts August 2018 so she will be Kindergarten. When June 2019 hits her grade should change to 1st grade and so on.

I'm new to the forum and am trying to see the formulas related to the above question. I'm in a similar situation and need to be able to calculate the Kindergarten year for students in our preschool program. Currently I'm using the following formula to find the kindergarten year, =YEAR(TODAY())+(5-D3). where D3 is the Date of Birth. The following data is typically returned, (DOB)02-22-17 (AGE)4 (Year to attend KG) 2022. For students to be eligible to attend kindergarten they must be 5 on July 31. The problem I'm finding is that for kids that turn 5 between August 1 and December 31, my formula does not work because I'm using their birthdate rather than the fixed date of 7/31. The formula will return the wrong year for those who have birthdays in the fall. Is there a better formula to return correct year based on their age on 7/31 of any given year?
