    Assort person by lap time

    Hello,

I am trying to create a spreadsheet that will assort a person based off there laps completed & time it took.

What I am looking to do is have:
Qual 1 ran, there is a time
Qual 2 ran, there is a time
Qual 3 ran, there is a time

I would like to take the fastest of that persons time and laps and place him in order based off of his best qual run.

    Qual 1
    Joe 1 FR Pro 13 07:38.9
    Joe 2 SE Pro 12 07:07.5
    Joe 3 CA Pro 12 07:09.4
    Joe 4 US Pro 12 07:13.0

    Qual 2
    Joe 1 SE Pro 12 07:05.8
    Joe 2 US Pro 12 07:17.2
    Joe 3 SE Pro 12 07:25.4
    Joe 4 KR Pro 12 07:29.8

    Qual 3
    Joe 1 FR Pro 13 07:33.9
    Joe 2 SE Pro 12 07:02.2
    Joe 3 CA Pro 12 07:11.7
    Joe 4 US Pro 12 07:13.0

Then place that person in the correct order on a results page.

    Thanks

Re: Assort person by lap time

This sounds like something which, if the data are correctly organized, can be done with pivot tables. However without a spreadsheet and a look at the way the data are organized, we can't do much more at this time.

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
