Index Match with a dynamic range (using 3 criteria types)

    Good evening all,
First of all, please advise if the naming in the title is correct.
In the spirit of the forum I have tried using indexing matching, offsets etc.

I have attached a worksheet FYI.

I have a range of data that pulls from a report where the columns change based on what information is available.

For example on the worksheet the information in column O (test 3) could be populated with Q (test 5) in tomorrows data dump.

Column 'K' will always be the first column of the data dump.

Whichever column the data lands in need it to populate in the columns B - E

I hope all that makes sense. Thank you on advance for any help.

    Regards

    Mark

You haven't shown us what you expect to see. Add some manually calculated results to this table in the workbook and attach again.

Re: Index Match with a dynamic range (using 3 criteria types)

You can use this array* formula in cell B4:

    =INDEX($M$4:$Q$33,MATCH(1,($L$4:$L$33=$B$2)*($K$4:$K$33=$A4),0),MATCH(B$3,$M$3:$Q$3,0))

*Note that an array formula needs to be committed using the key combination of Ctrl-Shift-Enter (CSE) instead of the usual Enter.

Then you can copy this across and down as required. Note that this matches on the heading in row 3, so ensure that these match the headings that you have in M3 to Q3.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
