Trying to create a formula that returns that start and finish date from a resource chart

Please can someone help, I am trying to create a formula that returns the start and finish dates from a resource chart. If you look at the attached workbook and the yellow cells I have shown what the first resource should return as a start and finish date. However I am unable to create a formula to do this. I have seen it done before but I can't seem to get it to work. Please can anyone help. Many Thanks. Russell

When you say you want a formula do mean instead of the two I proposed above?

If so try this in C6 and fill down and across
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Hi FlameRetired,

Many Thanks for your prompt response and many thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I copied the formula into the Cells and didn't get the dates as you have got. Have I done something wrong?

    Many Thanks.

Re: Trying to create a formula that returns that start and finish date from a resource cha

Your profile says office 365. Is that the version you are applying the formulas to? The embedded '@' in the formulas suggest not. If not you may have to array enter those formulas (after removing the '@'s).

If you aren’t familiar with array-entered formulas array enter means the formula must be committed from edit mode by simultaneously pressing and holding down Ctrl and Shift while hitting Enter.
