Hello and thank you all for this awesome support community!
Here is the jist.
I am making a grocery list that has some minimal functionality.
I have a stock number I want to always purchase up to. I have a current on hand quantity that I take an inventory on. The difference of the Wanted Stock vs the current on hand is on a new Sheet called Shopping List.
On the shopping list page it simply copies the information from the main sheet and puts the result of the difference of the Wanted stock vs On hand quantity next to the item name. It will look like this:
Main List
Name: Stock On hand
Carrot 3 1
Celery 2 1.5
Shopping List Sheet
Name: Qty Needed
Carrot 2
Celery .5
So here is what I am requesting some assistance with. I am using conditional formatting to FILL a cell(Blackout) that is <= 50% of the value of the Stock number on the main page.
The purpose is to have the shopping List created and the only items that I will see not blacked out are the items that I need to purchase which I want to be when I fall below a 50% threshold on that particular item.
Right now I have created a conditional format for each individual item I want blacked out. Ex.
Formula: =$B$29<.5 Format Black Fill Applies to =$A$29:$B29
This is the old formula I had before deciding on this new way to black fill by looking at the 50% value threshold.
I really appreciate the time you took to look at this and to anyone who has an idea or word of encouragement on this thank you also!
