Convert Daily Data to Monthly Data

I need to tally the daily data in column B to monthly data at month-end in column D.

So you need to sum everything by month and have it entered in the cell next to each month end?

No, I don't need to sum the value. I need a month-end to month end percent change from data in column B in column D for example divide the 4/29/2011 value 3216.93 by the 03/31/2011 value 3117.92 = 3.18%.

Try this in cell E3 and copy it down:

=INDEX($B$2:$B$946,MATCH(D3,$A$2:$A$946,1))/INDEX($B$2:$B$946,MATCH(D2,$A$2:$A$946,1))-1
