Keep Split Transactions Together

Hello,

I used conditional formatting to show "Split" transactions on the 'Transactions' sheet. Is there a way to always keep them together when sorting other columns? They will always use the same Account, on the same Date, and from the same Payee.

But as you can see by the one example in column G are the cells with the split transaction separated and not in adjacent rows.

Can they always stay in adjacent rows?

The answer is No if you are varying the sort parameters: unless SPLIT is a sort "key" so you sort by "Tag" or include SPLIT as a sort parameter in the other sorts.

All the Sorts except Category will retain consecutive rows: you can change the Category sort to sort by Tag then Category.

Added Sort button for TAG

I will figure it out perhaps with different columns. Maybe ID for each transaction?

Whatever you do you are going to need a new/amended sort.

Not necessary to have this feature.
