rollings sumifs with multiple criteria

    Hi all

Im trying to calculate the rolling total based on banking name, transation date.

im not sure what date range to add or how to incorporate it into my sumifs formula in cell R5.

Here is the formula in cell R5

    =SUMIFS($E$5:E210,$H$5:H210,$H5)

im trying to replicate what's in column L, as that has the manual calculation.Any help is apprecaited!

    try using
    =SUMIFS($E$5:E5,$H$5:H5,$H5)
in row 5 and copy down
gives the same result as your manual calc

Re: rollings sumifs with multiple criteria

thanks ETAF - that worked, i guess i shouldve only anchored until the active cells

I do have another issue im running into - see attached file

basically, in the "recon" tab, im trying to show the opening balance in column G10 down, i used the index match formula, however, if the date doesn't exist, its showing N/A error.

Is there a way to use this formula or a diff that shows the balance up to the specified date in column F? The data tab, has the amount and running total columns along with the transaction date.

    thanks in advance!

Re: rollings sumifs with multiple criteria

so the 1st feb 23 does not exist in the list
what date would you want to use ?

index/match brings back only 1 value- so if you do have multiple dates and matching B1 - it will only return the first

as its a new question probably better to strat a new thread , will get more members looking at it then
