Count Allowance Percent Based On Monthly Salary

    Hi All

I need help. How to calculate allowance whenever there are various percent based on monthly salary.
    12% - 6289 & above
    15% - 4029-6288
    17.5% - 2015-4028
    20% - 1329-2014
    22.5% - 1328 & below

If cells A1 4029 and cells B1 estimates continue 15% become 604.35. Cells B1 requires formula automatically calculation give to all percent above.

Re: Count Allowance Percent Based On Monthly Salary

hi redza. place a table like this somewhere, say in D1:E5

    22.50% 0
    20% 1329
    17.5% 2015
    15% 4029
    12% 6289

The ones on the right are the minimum values to get the %. then in B1,
    =A1*LOOKUP(A1,$E$1:$E$5,$D$1:$D$5)

if you dont want the table, then:
    =A1*LOOKUP(A1,{0;1329;2015;4029;6289},{0.225;0.2;0.175;0.15;0.12})

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
