Count Formula, Based on Condition of Two other Cells

    Good Morning All,

The question I'm asking is to help me out with an analyses on some statistics I have on my hobby, football.

I have a table that contains a teams playing formation e.g. 4-4-2, the score between the teams e.g. 2-0, whether the score resulted in a Win (W), Draw (D) or Loss (L) and I'm looking to count the number of Wins, Draws and Losses by the formation that they played.

I am using Excel 2007 and have attached a sample spreadsheet with comment boxes to describe my objectives.

Thank you in anticipation of your assistance.

    Regards,
    Colin

    Hi arku1201,

I completed the Add Reputation for benishiryo, then I had an interruption and was distracted before marking the tread as solved, I've just remembered and came back to do just that. As you get older things slip your mind more easily.

I am really pleased with the assistance from benishiryo and when using the forum in general.

Thank you for the actions you've taken on my behalf and sorry to cause you any inconvenience.

    Keep up the good work!

    Kind regards,
    Colin
