    Fill a column based on multiple cells

    Not totally sure which route to take, if I should write a formula or try something in vba. I am looking to fill a column down an exact number of cells with the date. So column A the first 20 slots would say july, next 34 would say August. Hard to explain, but I have a file attached to better explain it. Thanks for any help you have!

    Shoot I should have mentioned that there are 2 sheets. Sheet 1 having the orders and Sheet 2 having "ship schedule" for the next year, so the first 40 would say april, next 43 would say May, next 20 would say June etc., but I also want it to be linked so when May comes those would be the first in line. I will be manually updating the "ship schedule" so I want Column A in the order tab to reflect those changes.

    I'm not sure how the Ship Schedule plays a part in this, or are you just saying that your date mapping sheet (current sheet 2) will then be on sheet three?

    So the Ship Schedule plays a part because people ask when they can expect their order and we can only ship those exact numbers each month. (I did not include the actual orders in the file) Say for instance order that is 130th in line wants to know when his expected ship date is, I can quickly look down and say ok August is your expected date. So I would not be using sheet three at all except for duplicating this for the other models.

    Could I impose on you to set up a new sample file that better resembles your current setup. Use dummy data if info is sensitive. I will need to see the sutup you have in more detail (structure wise) so that I can set up a macro that fits the setup of your info.
    It would be very helpful if you can show a before and after view of what you need to further assist. TX

    Here is a more detailed example of what I am going for. So each page would look like "model 1" with a bunch of orders. Let me know if this better explains what I am trying to do.

    Thanks for the file.
    Attached is the file with the macro to place the month dates.
    If you make any changes to the Ship Forecast sheet (ie: Change the dates or values) and then run the macro, it will overwrite the old dates with the new dates on each sheet.

    Please test it on a copy of your file and verify if it is doing what you need.
