Hello,
Is there any way to track the settings done by somebody in Excel ( E.g. modifying the formula options) ? Is there any log file where these changes are recorded?
I would be grateful to enlighten me !
Thank you,
Monica

Welcome to the forums. To the best of my knowledge if you save the workbook as a shared worksbook then you can see the changed that any person has made. Excel will highlight them. To save a workbook under shared go to tab REVIEW then SHARE WORKBOOK button. It should default to keep history for the last 30 days. If you need more time just change the option in the settings before clicking okay to finish. Then save the workbook in the directory you want to save it into.

If I understand corectly, the changes can be seen after you save the workbook as shared. My problem is that a colegue of mine suspects me to alter his settings by Remote desktop and I want to prove him that he is wrong.
Yes, if you were hypothetically were to log in using remote desktop and attempt to modify a shared workbook it would record the changes you made if the workbook was saved as shared. So when he logged in next time he would see the changes that were made by looking at the history.
Unfortunately the workbook was not shared. Is there any other way to see the changes made in the settings?
I found this try this from this website http://www.ozgrid.com/VBA/track-changes.htm
