non linear 2nd axis for a graph

hello, i would like to have a graph with 2 axis:

one axis 0 to 100% (showing how the project is progressing).
the other one i would like to see how many days we are late on the project BUT, i dont want to see another curve in the graph! in order to do this, the second axis woulnt count 0,1,2,3,4,5...X, it would show how late we are in relation to the %

i would like to do this so the added curve doesnt confuse people that dont read graphs often

am i dreaming or theres a way to do this?

Instead of plotting percent complete, you could instead plot events as plan dates versus actual dates; if you're below the actual=plan line, you're behind schedule.
