I'm using Excel 2003 (an oldie but goodie...) on XP (another oldie but....) and lately it has stopped loading/opening files that I've received as email attachments and double clicked on.
The program itself opens, but no file is loaded. If I save the file, I can then search for it and open it same as any other file that is saved on my system, but the program won't load a file straight from the email.
This is a problem when I receive a .xlsx file or similar that needs to be converted.
I can see that the conversion is taking place to 'saved files' but any search for either the file name or a folder called 'saved files' comes up blank so I can't use this as a work-around.
Any suggestions?
