    VLOOKUP in Conditional Formatting

    Hi

I'm trying to get a complicated conditional formatting formula to work (weekday along the top and shift code down the side), we have over 50 shift codes so I'm trying to get a VLOOKUP within the formula, my formula is:

    =and(e$1="Monday,vlookup($C$2,Sheet2!$B:$D,3,false)="y")

Sheet2 has a table with the shift codes and which days they are due in (Y/N). When I apply the formula it says there is an error, how can I solve this?

You'd need to attach a sheet, so that we can see what you're doing - but there is certainly a " missing after Monday.

I can't see your sheet, but something I mocked-up worked fine with this:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
