Hello Excel Experts,
I have a question which I hope you can answer. I have attached an excel document which contains two sheets (You may need to open this first to make sense of what i am trying to explain). I want to be able to link the data from sheet 1 to sheet 2 by calculating how often a certain rule occurs (i.e. How many times 'Carrier_Returning' occurs). The document is designed as a returns system in which we can calculate what is being returned and why. Sheet 1 is the main input sheet in which products will be inputted daily with a number of different reasons why and this will be a continuous thing. Therefore, if the numbers can be calculated automatically, then it needs to be in theory infinite.
What i need to know is:
1) Is there a formula that will link the two sheets together to calculate how often a certain 'Reason' occurs.
2) Can the same be done for 'Product'
3) Can a formula then be used to merge the two together to find for example; There were a quantity of 12 product 1's returned and of this 8 were 'Carrier_ Returning', 3 were 'Unwanted_Unsuitable and 1 was 'Sent_incorrect_item'.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Matt
