Using Excel 2010, when I open a document, scroll bars are visible (both horizontal and vertical). But when I click on the 'Enable Editing' button, both scroll buttons disappear. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this?
Thanks so much.

does the workbook contain any macros that might remove scrollbars?
This has just occurred in the past couple of weeks. These are excel documents sent to me by email from others. The scroll bars show when document is opened, but when I click the 'enable editing' button, they disappear. This has never occurred before. I'm stumped.
No macros involved.
can you post example file, strip out any sensitive content.
Andy, can't explain, but when I tried to open and redact the file to post, it all started working correctly again. Must be a fluke that self-corrected. If it happens in the future, I'll post a document and see what you think. Thanks for your help!
Take a look under File, Options, Advanced, Display options for this workbook to see if Show horizontal scroll bar and show vertical scroll bar are checked....they should be in order to show the scroll bars.
