Hi,
In Excel I have data. in which cell A1 contains value :- 90379089031 and cell A2 contains 90379089031.004
They are in text format.
In cell B1 I have the following formula: "=COUNTIF(A:A,A1)"
In cell B2 I have the following formula: "=COUNTIF(A:A,A2)"
but countif formula is showing error.
Please suggest what I am doing wrong while applying Countif formula to check the duplicate numbers.

Its should work fine I feel. Countif has nothing to do with Text & Numbers..
Which error is it showing?
Can you attach your sample workbook?

=COUNTIF(A:A,A1) => maybe without the " " around the formula.
Notice my main language is not English.
