    sorting a spread sheet by column

    i have a spread sheet with 5 columns of information for each row.
    how do I sort by a column and keep all of the information in the rows together.
    I want the whole row to move while being sorted by the column I choose.

    I hope im making this clear.

    Select all five columns
    Select Custom Sort
    check or uncheck "My data has headers"
    In the sort by box, select the column or header desired.
