HIi please attach example excel file.. also note that if sheet is protected then make sure that cell contents are not hidden by pressing Ctrl + 1 --> protection tab

What exactly are you entering into the Find and into the Replace, and what would be left over afterwards?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

This is the formula =IF(B7<>"",SUMIF([January2015gldetail2.xlsm]GL!$A$1:$A$230000,$B7&"-"&C$4,[January2015gldetail2.xlsm]GL!$C$1:$C$230000)) and there are 1000 similar formulas in my sheet. The sheet was created from another workbook but I deleted out the "GL" tab.
When I do a find and replace, it's for [January2015gldetail2.xlsm]. It opens up a dialoge box, I press cancel and then it will only replace one at a time, even if I select replace all.
