Removing values in parentheses but only if value contains a dollar sign.

I have some cell values that look like this:

I'm trying to figure out how to do a find and replace to remove only the prices - including parentheses. So the new cells would look like this:

If I do a Find/Replace (*) it removes both the price, and the value the string that I do not wish to remove. Is there a way to do this but for numbers only OR if it contains a $ in the parentheses?

Hi cgman,

Instead of "(*)" for the search use "($*)" and replace with nothing.

If by chance there are entries that don't have a $ value in brackets, this will take care of it. If that isn't possible then popipipo's formula will do the trick just fine.
