Question Export Excel Rows to separate documents and convert to PDF

I have an Excel file with almost 1600 short news stories, one per row. The news stories in the "Post Content - Description" cells are marked up with HTML. I need to extract each row to a separate file so I can save it to a PDF and upload it to a new web archive.

I'm stuck using Office for Mac 2011. Any help would be appreciated.

The original worksheet was an .xslx. I have created a .csv.

My (row 1) column headers are:
    News_Post_ID, News_Title, Date_Published, Date_Unpublished, Author, Post_Content_Description, Post_Content_Notes

Hi Irenka and welcome to the forum,

There is a tool built into Excel called Power Query (I don't know if it works on the Mac). It claims to have a feature that does what you are asking about.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm having trouble finding out how to get Power Query in Mac Office 2011, so I'm not sure it it's easily available. It does appear to be included with Mac Office 2016, so I'll definitely be sure to get them when we do our campus upgrade next year.

Any other suggestions? I have figured out how to find the Visual Basic Editor -- a huge step forward considering I didn't know it even existed before today!

See if this link is what you need:

Power Query is one of the MANY tools built into Excel. Like Pivot Tables it is not well known but has LOTS of features to do specific kinds of work.

Hope this helps.. It will take a few days to figure out how to exactly use it to solve your problem.
