Copy & Paste Help needed ASAP!!

I'm trying to copy and paste a column from one worksheet to another. Nothing complicated, no formulas, just a list of names. When I do copy + paste (trying every single version of paste that exists) it either only copies the first 4 names or gives me the error message below:

We can't paste because the Copy area and paste area aren't the same size. Try one of the following:
Click one cell, then paste (when I do this it still doesn't always paste everything)
Select a rectangle that's the same size, then paste (what?! no idea what they're talking about here)


It's just a bunch of names, what am I doing wrong :-(

On my first sheet (it's a huge spreadsheet with different vendors and names so I have it filtered by the vendor) and trying to copy G15-G74
On my second spreadsheet, I'm trying to paste into D37-D1029. I know little to nothing about Excel so not sure I'm explaining this right? But I guess the columns don't match up because of the filters I need to have on here.
