Average Sales per Month and Year from Table w/o Pivot

I'm trying to take the data from the table on sheet one and show an average from each month on sheet two. I've researched this quite a bit and can't seem to get anything to work. I'd prefer not to use a pivot and just a formula for this, if possible. Thanks for any advice in advance.
