Quick question; what is the difference between data>connections & data>edit links??

    What is the difference??
I have been playing about with using a new connection to pull in source data vs just writing my formula then linking to the source data by having the workbook opening then highlighting the cells I want to pull in whilst writing the formula

By linking it shows in links but not connections. Surely a link is a connection????

I don't get why my links wouldn't show

Both methods auto update when I hit refresh

Connections are to other structured data sources other than Excel files.

Just using regular formula links is the simplest for connections to other workbooks. EDIT LINKS makes it simple to update when those workbooks are in new locations.
