    delete unwanted rows

Hi. I have a worksheet with 500 rows, with columns formatted with thick boundaries.

For reasons I don't understand all rows below 500 have the same formatting. I try to delete the rows but they seem to go on forever!

How do I get rid of them ?

    Thanks

    K

1st, highlight the 1st blank row. Then press Ctrl + Shift + the down arrow. This will highlight from the first blank row to the last. Then remove the border formatting.
You can hide the unwanted rows. If there are not still highlighted, highlight the 1st blank row (again). Then press Ctrl + Shift + the down arrow. This will highlight from the first blank row to the last. Then right click in any of the highlighted rows, then click Hide.

This works mostly. Selecting all rows as suggested, then remove formatting, deleted the problem except for one column which still has a thin vertical border. ??

I prefer not to hide the rows but will experiment & report back

    Re: delete unwanted rows

OK, I noticed that the thin vertical border extended above the data rows into the zone below the ribbon where my 'grouping + and - signs are. I removed grouping but the pesky line still extends below the bottom row. This not a major issue but I'm puzzled. K

OK I think it's the page break preview. Thanks for the help. K
