Breaking a table of 2000 rows and 80 columns into a list

I have the table like this
a b c
e x x x
f x x
g x


The column headers are the group and rows are the items that would fall in certain groups. I now want to make a data go like this:

a e
a f
b e
b g
c e
c f

How can I have the data sorted out like this. I have 2000 rows and 80 columns so filter wont help me out much :-( please help

It is not very clear how your data is laid out, so it would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook.

To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.
