Use excel forum to create roster/staff schedule

Hi I'm looking to create a rostering programme and thinking of using excel.

It would have to do some logic steps like if you work at the weekend you get a day off during the following week taking into consideration things like annual leave, mandatory training etc.

Is this even possible to do in excel or should I look else where.

It can be done, but you would have to be a bit clearer in describing what data you have and what your required outcome would be.
