Formula that takes data from corresponding data set if a condition is met

    All,

I have two raw data sets that need to be consolidated automatically if a criteria is met.

For example, if the fleet number of one data set is = to the fleet number of another data set I need it to take the start date from one of the data sets. If not, it needs to continue searching for the row where the fleet number correlates. This is similar for three columns.

I understand I may not of explained this very well and so have set up a dummy worksheet where the cells that need filling are highlighted yellow (columns AH onwards), with a brief description of how beneath. I will need this to be a formula so that it automatically updates every time new raw data is inserted and unfortunately I do not have time to learn how to use macros.

    Many thanks in advance!

Which Start Date value do we use if a match is found? Raw Data 1 or 2?

Raw data 1 - though this and the cells used shall change as the dummy sheet is different from actual sheet (due to confidentiality reasons). I plan to alter your formula slightly to accommodate these changes, as I did yesterday. Will there be any problems with that?

    Many thanks

So just to confirm, you only want the StartDate from RAW Data 1? It's only for your second and third request that RAW Data 2 is used?

So the start date should source data from Raw Data 1 if the correlating Fleet No is the same as that of those in columns AB.
For calendar days on hire it should be the correlating data from raw data 2 plus the cell in column J where the Fleet Number matches.
Chargeable days on hire is practically the same as calendar days.

    Many thanks

Assuming I understood your question correctly:

    And copy down.

    Then in AH4:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    And copy across/down.

However, something is telling me it can't be this simple. Am I missing something?
