I'm looking to carry out data profiling against data within excel worksheets
E.g.
Column A (Date) has 1000 rows of dates and I would like to know the patterns for this column
Example
dd/mm/yy
/mm/yyyy
ddmmyy
d/m/y
Is there a function or add in which can display the patterns in a column ?

CTRL + F and find GetFormat. basically, copy this inside your VBA window:
and you can use it in your worksheet. for eg:
