Excel 2016 Autosave issue

Hello Guys and Gals,

I have a problem with excel autosave not working.
I have even tried a fresh install and it stills does not work and never has.
I even set Excel to admin thinking maybe that was it and it still did not help.
Also my excel is legit and i got a fresh download from Microsoft.

Attached is a picture of a workbook/worksheet with the option menu open.
If you look at top left you will see that autosave is off and if you look at options window you can see it is on.
I have even tried multiple different settings and folders just to be save and none work.

Can anyone please tell me how to get autosave to work, Please?

The file needs to be stored in One Drive for the autosave to work

Thanks for fast reply to my issue, i really appreciate it.

I have tried that and it still does not work.
The path is now set to "C:\Users\Vashta\OneDrive\Excel\" and I even tried just "C:\Users\vashta\OneDrive\" and no backup autosave was put on onedrive.
It was set to O: in the screenshot but i changed it many hours ago after seeing something about it needing to be used on onedrive.

Is there an addon that i can install to do autosave since it does not work with current excel settings?
