    Highlight the duplicate values

    Hello,

How to find the duplicate values between two columns - A and B? Is it possible to mention Insource against A, if the name is duplicate and "outsource" if the name is not repeated.

    Column

I have attached the excel sheet for your reference

    Re: Highlight the duplicate values

If I understand correctly then two rules would highlight the duplicates.
The rule to highlight names in column A that are duplicated in column B could be: =MATCH(A1,$B$1:$B$200,0)
The rule to highlight names in column B that are duplicated in column A could be: =MATCH(B1,A$1:A$200,0)
I don't understand the 'Insource' and 'Outsource' request, perhaps it would make things clearer if you could include an example or two of each on the spreadsheet attached to post #1.

    Re: Highlight the duplicate values

    Try this:
    Select range A1:B161
Go to Conditional Formatting and Select Highlight Cells Rules from the menu and from the second menu choose Duplicate Values.
