    multiple dependent double drop-down menus

    Hi there,

Currently I'm working in a spreadsheet in which I would like to have multiple drop down menus referring to the same list. I added the file. I would like to have a list(which I showed with colors) with multiple drop-down menus. In the orange column I would like to be able to switch between classes and in the green column I would like to be able to choose the 'What' per class. Think of it as a diet sheet. This one is just very small but I would like to make this way bigger. And the double dropdownmenu helps creating structure so you don't need to search through the whole list but you can separate this in smaller sections(Forage, Fruit Vegetables etc. etc.) Shown on the right is what my goal is however these words are just typed and not placed there using the dropdown menu's. Can someone help met to create 2 columns in which I can just choose the class and the cell after it which I want from that particular class? The basics are there but I can't find out how to continue.

    Thanks in advance!

    Wietse

If the second Table is well sorted you could use the OFFSET formula.
The formula is to complicated for Data Validation List so I used 2 helper columns
