Embedded images auto update

Hi guys,

sorry for any stupid questions/wording upfront - I am not the most expert user in Excel.

I have an Excel Sheet and I want to have certain images embedded on one sheet - no fancy embedding such as fixed to a cell etc. They should simply be displayed on the sheet. The images are in a specific folder which will never change.
I want to use that file to review certain images from log files, i.e. I want to exchange the pictures in the root folder (of course with same name etc) everytime I look at a new log. That being said the file should either load the new images upon startup or upon refreshing.
Simply pasting the images does of course not work - I tried it with image boxes but it also didn't work (although I have to say I have no clue what I did there).

Can someone help me here please?
