    Issue with excel graph labels

    Hi All,

    I am encountering a strange problem in excel . I have few graphs for which the labels disappear partially!!

    When the entire dataset is selected for graph, all labels are getting displayed.
    However, when i deselect few data to shrink the graph, few labels are getting missed.
    One thing to note , only the labels for 2018 data are disappearing!! .

    This is happening for all the graphs I have!!
    I am not able to paste any pic here, else would have shared a sreenshot .

    Your help here is highly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum!

    Our crystal balls have been sent away for their summer polish, so would you mind attaching the actual workbook (not a screenshot of it) so we can work out what's going on?

    Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    That's not a problem!

    Just create a sample file with dummy data that shows the same issue and post it here. There is absolutely nothing we can do to help otherwise.

    What's happening is very odd - if you deselect items at the start of the data series, labels at the end get removed. This must be a bug!

    Attached is a workaround - select only the data necessary for your chart.

    Thanks Ali, I will try the workaround. I have around 20 similar graphs to be prepared for a monthly presentation, and these graphs were working correctly until late. I am not sure if any recent office upgrade has induced this problem, or something to do with my excel settings. Looks very strange!!

    I expect it must be a bug in the latest update, then, and so you should report it to Microsoft. I have never seen it before, but can confirm it in Office 365.
