I found this brilliant Gantt from vertex, of which the timescale is fragmented into weeks and dates. However, for practicality I would prefer changing this timescale to months and quarters instead. I'm having a bit of trouble doing so. Could you please assist? Apologies I could not attach my current workbook. I'm having trouble uploading.

What's the lowest level of granularity? Does that mean each column represents an entire month rather than a day as it is at the moment
To upload a file click the Go Advanced button at the foot of your post, look underneath the post area for the Manage Attachments section and take it from there.

Correct, each column represents an entire month rather than days. These months would then be grouped on a quarterly basis (level above).

Thanks again Rich, the bars are working perfectly. However, the bars themselves are not entirely in alignment with percentage changes. For instance, 90% looks identical to 100%, whereas 80% looks more like 70%. I'm having a look at conditional formatting rules now to see if this can be changed but I've had little success as of yet.
Yes I forgot to mention that.
Since each cell represents a month then with the Cond Format that uses a formula it's not possible to colour half a cell if the % complete includes part of another month. You can see this if you add a task which lasts say two months. If you set the % complete anything up to 50% than one of the two cells is covered, but change to 51% and the whole of the second cell(month) is coloured.
I don't think the other CFs with a graded colouring system will work since they are essentially the same and apply the graded colour to the whole of the cell.
The only other thing I can think of is to have the % shown at the beginning, or end of the green bar but that doesn't tell you anything that column H does

Since there are 3 CFs, green for % done , blue for remainder of project and one a blank row you'll need to add modify the blue one which currently says

Is it possible to change the bar colours to red, green or amber rather. I would like to maintain the length which is based on the difference between start and end dates. However the % done would be replaced with Red, Green or Amber. The colours would be reflected on the bars. Could you please assist. I'm assuming the CF formula would have to be changed?
