Copying certain cells from a column into specific cells in another column

Hello again! Here is what I have and what I'd like to happen. If I could get help on this and not the formula.

$1.60/oz	$1.60
$3.26
$4.09/lb	$4.09
~$1.90/cup	$1.90
$5.97

Here you see there are 2 columns and some just have a price, and the others have the price and along with it /(unit of measurement). I've been working at this for a while and didn't want to come to the forum right away. But I'm stumped. I'm wanting to replace those cells that have an addition to the price with the prices to the right of those columns. Copying and pasting won't the job because it will put the values out of order instead of the places that they should go. There are some cells that are just prices, and that is what I'm wanting. Thank you for your time and help!

If you wanted to use a formula then it must go into another column. You can't use one of the two columns that you mention, as this would overwrite the data that is in the column.

If you look at the first column, you can see that some are text values and others are just numbers, so maybe that should trigger your thought processes into using something like IF(ISNUMBER( …

In the second column you have numbers and blanks, so maybe you should be thinking along the lines of IF(ISBLANK( …
