Custom Sorting Slicer

I have a dashboard that I would like to custom sort the slicers. I created a custom list first and sorted the pivot table A to Z to activate my new order. However, when I now click on the pivot table and add a slicer, the slicer is still sorted in data source order. I right click on the slicer and click sort A to Z but still wont change to my custom order, it still appears in the data source order.

Any suggestions?

Sort of. That question was related to the formatting of my pivot chart. The pivot chart problem was solved once I activated my custom sort list. I thought I marked it solved. This one is now related to my slicer. Now the slicer wont align in the custom sort order I created above. I have tried deleting the slicer and adding a new one. I tried ensuring within the slicer settings it was filtered A to Z, which it is. But still wont change the order of the slicer
