Calculating supplier spend over 8 tabs

    Hi

How can i sum supplier spend across multiple tabs ( tab per year) i want a cover tab with yearly spend per supplier

tab layout is table with Date supplier Value

each line is a separate transaction. I want to sum all spend per supplier per year on 1 cover tab

Im guessing some sort of v lookup?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's hard to help with a question like his as we can't see the data and how it's laiid out - You can follow the instructions on the Yellow bar at the top to help us with this.

If I had to guess I'd say you wanted a SUMIF formula rather than a VLOOKUP though.

Hi Thanks for your response, and apologies.

I have a attached a copy for info. As you can see not all suppliers appear on all tabs but hopefully as you can also see from the layout on the cover tab all I'm trying to do is summarize the sum spend per year on the one cover tab. Again apologies if I'm not being very clear

You can use this formula in C4 of the Cover sheer:

    =SUMIF(INDIRECT("'"&C$2&"'!B:B"),$B4,INDIRECT("'"&C$2&"'!D:D"))

then copy across and down as required.

Of course, you will need to have real supplier names in column B to see the appropriate numbers.

    Hope this helps.
