Question Given a project name, extract the 5 largest costs associated with it

I have a large table of projects (project A, project B...etc.) and need to extract the 5 largest costs associated with those projects. The table is laid out as follows

Project A Task Name Task Description Cost
Project B Task Name Task Description Cost
Project A Task Name Task Description Cost
Project C Task Name Task Description Cost
Project B Task Name Task Description Cost
    etc.

And, given a random project name, I need to extract the 5 largest costs.

    For example,
    Project Name: Project A
    25,000
    22,500
    20,000
    15,000
    7,000

Is there any way to do this? It should also be noted that the table is saved on another file to the one that I'm needing this calculation on.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Thanks for the workbook. Are you using Excel 2019 or MS365? Just clarifying, as the latter has a lot of useful new stuff.

This is great, thanks! Just want to clarify, as the table I have is much larger, if I wanted to extract Columns A,B,C,D and T (where the cost actually is), from rows 5 to 1142, what would change here?
