Link to Workbook opens in Browser

I have a workbook at the link shown below:
https://xpsstx-my.sharepoint.com/per...s/MyLinks.xlsm
This workbook holds links to my most used workbooks. So I have a link such as below:
../Jomili%20Personal/Family/Denise/The%20Denise%20Book.xlsx

The problem is, when I click my link, the workbook opens in my browser, not the app. I really don't want ANY workbook to open in a browser unless I specifically note one that I DO want opened this way (so far I've yet to find a workbook I prefer to open in a browser).

So, my question is, how do I STOP workbooks from opening in my browser?

Finally found an answer that (so far at least) works:
In any Microsoft 365 for Windows app
Go to File > Options.
Select Advanced > Link Handling.
Click on "Open supported hyperlinks to Office file in Office Desktop apps.
This enhancement apparently became available starting with build version 2307 (Build 16603.20000).
